Want to Know Who’s Screwing You Over?

To be frank it is a sick system of supposed care that only allows one with a DSM (psychiatric label) to “manage symptoms.”

They want you to believe that their advanced degrees have taught them how best to work with their patients. However in too many cases this is far from the truth. To begin their theories do not help their patients heal, or their patients would not have to be their patients for years or decades because they have yet to receive freedom from the negative thoughts and behaviors, which was why they sought out the help in the first place.

Why is this so?

There are a few reasons that I have realized since being a part of that very system for a number of years before finding my way to the majickal world of hypnotism.

  1. The basis of the medical industry is to do anything and everything to keep their patients as patients forever. In so doing pharmaceuticals can be purchased by you for the remainder of your life as few prescribing providers will allow their patients to discontinue psych meds fearful of what may happen if one stops taking them. As a result, many patients do it themselves, many finding they experiencing some pretty daunting withdrawal symptoms, the worst of which are from benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, and serotonin uptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
  2. I have observed that too many in the mental health profession have what I call, “a need to be needed.” This means that these providers only feel worthy if they are ‘helping’ others. This is problematic from the point of view of the patient, because a co-dependency develops where the mental health provider ‘needs’ their patients instead of having their patients decision to work with them because they are sick of being sick and want to be done with it all, without a need to be dependent on the provider, rather to learn how to be a happy, functional, productive, and fulfilled person in every area of life.
  3. The reason that #2 occurs is because too many of these providers have never dealt with their own emotional issues, still buried there deep inside them causing projection of their problems onto their patients, causing confusion and distrust among those patients with whom this behavior has been experienced.
  4. Too many state-licensed mental health providers hang thir degrees with all their fancy initials after their names over their patients’ heads, telling them that they are the expert, and that if they do not do as they are told, they will never be well again, or worse end up in a mental ward. Intimidation is much more common then one would want to admit.
  5. The provider has zero boundaries, not knowing when to keep their life’s history to themselves. If one is working with a patient with borderline personality disorder, best to keep the entire session on them. This makes sense if one understands that though many of those with BPD are highly intelligent, insightful, yet emotionally between the ages of 1 and 4 years old where  the world centers around them. Their greatest fear is fear of abandonment, so it is best for any provider working with them to lt them know what behavior will be called out for what it is, but that they will never be thrown out of the practice. I had one client years ago who is a BPD patient, and was thrown out 3 therapists practices – all should have known how to work with her especially the Ph.D. psychologist, yet she was the worst based on the 5 years of notes she took during their sessions which I got to read to help this client understand why she did and felt the way she did, never being told that she had BPD though it was the diagnosis under which her therapist was receiving her health insurance payments. Yes, folks, this crap happens!
  6. Telling the patient what they are thinking and feeling. There is no way for a person to know for sure what another is thinking and feeling. It is one of the most off-putting behaviors of too many therapists. I know because these are the clients that become mine, their patients lookinng for a different approach to their healing process.
  7. Showing up in clothes that do not fit as happened to one of my clients who felt that this was an indication that this therapist could not take care to dress in clothes that fit, her buttons about to undo themselves from all the pressure under them with the fat of the therapist. Yes, a client told me this was one of her reasons for leaving her therapist, and to be honest, she has a point. I do not take advise from nurses who are 50 to 100 pounds overweight for the same reason – especially if they are smokers.

Meanwhile patients who finally have had enough of their useless and sometimes harmful treatment will seek help elsewhere. Sometimes it is from a hypnotist like me. Because, it is by working in the subconscious mind, the amygdala where the emotions are held and felt, and the hippocampus where the patient’s most imperfect memories reside, many unknown because they are after all UNconscious. Which is why my most intelligent kid clients ask their parents to find a hypnotist to help them finally get healed, or some will call me on their own with their parents consent.

If you have any feelings of anger, sadness, fear, guilt or shame…emotionally charged events from your past that are still lurking in your brain, making your life more challenging than it need be and you are seriously ready to change the situation for the better. I have 3 open spots to work with new clients. However, I am moving into providing training to others as my main means of income in the next month or so, which is why there are only 3 spaces available.
