Recently I have been getting quite a few calls from individuals who are feeling stuck. When asked in what way do they feel stuck, they tell me that they are unable to do something that is really important to them. The problem is compounded because they cannot figure out why it is so difficult to move forward. Sometimes it has to do with career issues sometimes the inability to drop off weight and keep it off, and sometimes it is just an overriding feeling of anxiety. Continue »

Suzanne helped me get through one of the most difficult experiences of my life. I had endometriosis, a condition which can cause extreme abdominal pain in women. My symptoms came to a peak one day in September 2004; the pain was so bad, I could hardly walk. I could not sit, stand or curl up comfortably. The pain was so bad I was on the verge of vomiting from it. Continue »

Teens have more than their fair share to deal with today. From the parental point of view, it seems that they are being asked to be “the best” student, athlete, musician, etc. in order to round out the college application. In fact, I was working with one client last summer who was telling me of how his wife wanted their daughter to get into one of those very competitive preschools to be ready for the expensive private school that would than lead to an even more expensive prep school to enhance her chances of getting into the best colleges. This child was all of 4 years old at the time. Continue »

I wonder how many of you have sought medical treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia or irritable bowel syndrome. I bet there are many of you suffering from these disorders that traditional therapies are just unable to help.
If you feel that this applies to you, ask yourself: Am I the type of person who is always doing good for other people and always leaving myself for last? If you answered “yes,” you could be one of the types of people who suffer from one of these three illnesses and for whom hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming could possibly be a great help. Suzanne dissolved old patterns of behavior that limited me in my daily life. Depression once a source of power in my life has been pretty much obliterated. I’m feeling lighter, more at ease and positive. I look forward to embracing the next new day with joy and enthusiasm. Near suicide, I was brought back from the brink.Sincerely,
Michael, Winthrop, MA

Wow! My first session with Suzanne accomplished more for resolving deep emotional issues than I had done in six years of therapy. After one afternoon with Suzanne, my depression is POOF — gone! My resentment about chores and work is POOF — gone! All cravings for comfort food and comfort activities (addictive computer game playing, escapist reading) are POOF — gone! Continue »

Have you ever had a situation where you are talking with a friend and she is telling you how she feels so frustrated in her life? She tells you there is something missing in her life but she is not sure what. Or perhaps a friend is not very happy with how he is living life at the moment, but has no clue how to figure out how to release that anxious feeling. There are many specific reasons why this may be occurring, but I think that there is one overarching reason: The individual is living a life that is not attuned with his internal values and beliefs.Unfortunately many people have relinquished this one beautiful life they have to living somebody else’s dream, perhaps that of a parent. Maybe there is a feeling that one needs to get married, have kids, buy the house and live the suburban or urban ideals. Or perhaps the individual never really thought much about the life she could live, but is just aimlessly wandering through the time. Continue »

I bet there are a lot of you out there that feel the way that I felt not all that long ago: I had dreams and ambitions, but yet I was stuck doing work I did not really want to be doing any more that barely paid me anything in return for all the sweat that I bore. In fact I had more than 20 years of frustration regarding finding the perfect fit for myself with regard to work. You see, I had the notion that I could work for myself creating the world that I wanted. I was emulating my father who was a dentist and worked the schedule that he chose; he made enough money to raise five kids and have plenty left over. I liked the way he thought and the control that he took in his life in terms of work. Continue »

I bet you would not believe me if I were to tell you that it is a rather simple process to lose the weight that you have been holding all these years. I kid you not. Using the unconscious mind makes it all so simple. You see, what people normally do is tell themselves that they just have to eat less or work out more or use a bit more willpower. Let me tell you something. This is all about how not to lose weight for three very good reasons. Continue »

I know that many of you out there are sick and tired of spending $5.00 or more for a pack of cigarettes, especially when you figure out how much of that cost is supposedly additional taxes to cover health risks and educational programs.
As a practicing Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner as well as an Advanced Clinical Hypnotist, I can tell you that it only takes one session to let go of this rather expensive and disgusting habit. Smoking is not an addiction as the medical community would like you to think. It is a Pavlovian Stimulus Response mechanism that you have created that puts the thought into your head that it is time to smoke yet another one of those butts. Like when you wake up in the morning and you think that it would feel relaxing to have a cigarette, or with your coffee (and/or breakfast) and than after lunch and after dinner and on and on and on till you have smoked your personal quota of cigarettes. It does not matter if you are working or on vacation, does it? You still smoke the same amount, if you actually think about it, don’t you? So the rationalization of stress release is out. Continue »

Now that the weather is particularly nice, I bet some of you are out there playing your favorite sport. I am sure that most of you have heard of the term “Sports Psychologist” and know them to be the professionals who assist the elite athletes to be the best that they can be. I bet what you probably do not know is that they actually utilize a hypnotic technique by which their clients visualize themselves achieving their goal. Studies have been done to demonstrate that visualization alone can increase an athlete’s ability, almost to the same degree as actually doing the practice itself. It is really quite amazing what the unconscious mind will allow you to do if you open yourself up to the possibilities. Continue »

My initial purpose in going to Suzanne was not weight loss, but I lost 44 pounds!
I went to Suzanne because I had been bedridden with chronic pain for about 5 years and had ballooned from a healthy 135 pounds to 179! I had no energy and could not exercise. Also, I was basically rewarding myself for having pain by eating…which I did not realize until I was hypnotized. Continue »
