I am always amazed when I read the intake forms my clients fill out. I am amazed because so many individuals lack any sense of self-esteem. It does not seem to matter what they have already achieved in life. Even well respected professionals have written this down on the forms. This is a very sad commentary on this society. Why is it that so many people feel so badly about how they are doing in life? Could it be that they are comparing themselves to some unrealistic expectation set in the media? Or is it that childhood was too difficult? Continue »

It seems in today’s world that there is an awful lot of anger out there. People are rather short tempered while driving. At the grocery store it seems that parents are unable to control their little ones, or if they do it is usually through yelling at them. I have noticed as I go to the different stores in the area that all too often patrons are arguing with the help.We live in a world of plenty, but yet it seems that our leaders would like us to be constantly uptight, mostly about what could happen if we let down our defenses. All you hear on the news is how the United States is not respected in the world anymore, or worse that other countries are out there to destroy us. Continue »

“Suzanne is a gift to this world. Besides her training as a hypnotherapist her honesty, concern and enthusiasm is a blessing to be around. Through hypnotherapy I was able to let go of a past hurt that stopped me from reaching my goals. The pain was so intense it created anxiety attacks and fear. It was paralyzing. I am happy to say that even when that pain is triggered I no longer react. Suzanne has given me a sense of freedom that I’ve long wanted. You can be rest assured that being in her presence is liberating and safe.”

Do you suffer with anxiety of and fears? Fear of public speaking? Fear of anything? What would you do to be able to live without these fears? With hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) it is very simple to take care of these issues.
Our fears are just created in our minds and usually are not even based on anything real. When we worry about anything it is about something that has not even happened yet. If you think real hard you could probably realize that 80% of those things you worried about or feared never even happened. Continue »

“With hypnosis I find it so easy to walk right by Dunkin’ Donuts and I have no inclination to eat the ice cream I use to crave. With my regular exercising I have lost 10 pounds in a month.”

Was there a time in your youth when you knew you could get through anything to do what you thought was right for you? Then as you grew up all these responsibilities got in your way and then somehow life was okay, but the drive was gone. You find the time to enjoy some happy times. Maybe you get together with some friends, or take a vacation to regroup. These are okay, but the day to day living is just not what you had expected when you started your life’s journey. Continue »

Have you ever had the feeling that there is more to life than the daily experience you currently live? There is an amazing ability our minds have to create whatever we decide we are capable of. That is a good thing as long as we utilize it to help us to achieve positive ends. The possibilities are out there just waiting for us to experience them regardless of what our previous experiences may have been. You see your mind is the best tool that you have to create whatever it is that you would like to have in your life. You just need to learn how to use it. And it is really your unconscious mind where all change, behavior and learning occur, so that is the place that you need to access to allow great things to happen for yourself. Continue »

Looking at the front page of the newspaper today, Boston Globe, July 2, 2003, I saw the headline “Kraft looks to trim fats, sugar from its products”. There is a color picture of six stacked Oreos and a caption explaining that there are 20 grams of sugar (5 teaspoons) and 10 grams of fat (16% of the federally recommended fat intake for a day) in those six cookies. Apparently Kraft is feeling that the food industry must take responsibility to help fight obesity in this country. The article continues by explaining that the food industry could see itself being blamed for the increasing obesity, as the tobacco companies were held responsible for the illness that it created with its products. Adult rates of obesity have climbed from 13.4% in 1960 to 30.9 percent in 1999-2000. Continue »

I’m so proud you are now being able to put together a format for those of us who have looked so long for understanding. You have the benefits of a good college education, para-legal training, social work (some with elderly), nursing education and practice, plus life experience. Continue »

It is now summer time and I bet some of you want to look as great as you can as you lie by the beach or pool. Maybe you made a new years resolution to lose that extra weight, tone up and feel great, but it just did not happen. Now that winter is finally gone for those of us who live in the more northern climate, we have the perfect opportunity to get out and get in shape. There is one problem and that is our eating habits. Some of us really like to eat, or eat to stuff feelings we would rather not experience. It takes a fairly short period of time for the clothes to get snug and for our weight to increase to a point that we never thought was possible. It can get difficult walking longer distances, going up stairs and getting around in general. For some of us the weight is starting to cause some health problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Diets do not work for most of us simply because they are about all the things that we cannot have. If the ever-increasing taxes on cigarettes were not enough, we hear that cities and towns are making smokers lives more frustrating, as the representatives go about outlawing smoking in their communities. Perhaps you are at a point in your life where you would like to give up on this habit for the above reasons. Or perhaps your health is of concern. We know that smoking tobacco is dangerous to our health. Perhaps you are tired of being out of breath, smelling of smoke, or sick of having ashtrays full of butts around your house. Continue »
