Offering Something New: Access Consiousness – Vol. 100, April 24, 2011

A few weeks ago, a dear friend of mine explained how he had suffered from heavy metals poisoning leaving him unable to work as the gem cutter he is, for a period of five years. You see, though I have known Doug  for 34 years, and indeed we even dated for a short time while we were in high school, we have only been in communication sporadically since 2002 or so when he found a flyer explaining the services offered by Dawning Visions Hypnosis. The company was not even incorporated yet, being a brand new endeavor for me at that time. Apparently Doug was in Arlington often ,where I lived and worked, as he had a client jeweler to whom he sold his self cut gems for inclusion in their fine jewelry making.

Doug was very excited about this new healing modality he had found during a trip to California. You see, he had tried everything else that he could think of to feel better during those five miserable years, and yet, this was the method that served him the best, thus his enthusiasm for what he had discovered.

When he told me of this new process all he said was that he would do anything to get me to the “meetup” he was holding on March 17th, St. Patricks evening, in Cambridge. He knew that I didn’t have a car and offered to pick me up even knowing that it was going to be quite the schlep given that he lives in Avon with me living in Haverhill.

Living very close to mass transit, I was easily able to get myself to the “meetup” where I met his trainers from California, Julie and Alex, both very sweet, positive and informal – the way I prefer to be trained, being a rather informal person myself.

The meetup was of a small group, however we tackled all sorts of issues running from issues of a marriage in question, to a physical problem that required a surgery that was scary to the person who needed to under go it. All the issues that came up were elegantly handled by these two facilitators with seven years of experience each. I was amazed at how simple these “tools” as they call them, worked to reframe the fears while easily letting go of the upset of the participants in our quaint group.

Being a hypnotist and NLP practitioner for almost a decade now, working with some rather challenging cases myself, I understood why it was that Doug truly wanted me to participate in these trainings. From what I gathered though they really do not think of this as a hypnotic intervention, I do. The language patterns they use may not fall under the traditional Milton Model or Meta Programs we are taught, however they were certainly bypassing the critical faculty of the conscious mind as far as I am concerned.

As interesting and elegant as that particular process of reframing was, what I really wanted to experience in the all day training a couple of days later was the “energy work” component known as  “running the bars”. The bars are comprised of 32 points on the head accessing the areas that could release negative programming while replacing it with positive programming. It was a very relaxing experience, where I for one actually was able to feel the energy running through my body, unlike the Rieki I have had done by some very accomplished practitioners of that modality. It was even more intense in a very wonderful way then  even the energy healing of the Huna I have learned from my NLP trainers in the not so distant past.

It is my belief after learning the little that I did, that any hypnotist, NLP practitioner, coach, energy worker and anybody really could do well to learn these skills. I know from the many hypnosis conventions and trainings I have attended over the years, many other modalities besides hypnotism are available to learn. Interestingly enough, even though I have attended trainings in California, the Southwest, Australia and New Zealand to date, I have never been exposed to this particular modality till Doug enthusiatically suggested that I attend his event. I can honestly say that I am very happy that I did and am even more pleased to be co-sponsoring this event with Doug so that more people can have the ability to learn these simple techniques upon which to they can so easily let go of thoughts and behaviors that may be getting in their way.

I can tell you that I have already integrated them both in my practice with great results including the work I recently did with a ten year old, as well as in my interactions with my friends and relatives. Anyone can learn how to create better boundaries with others, which according to Tad James, my NLP trainer of note, is the main reason why people get emotionally and/or physically ill. I would have to agree with him based on my own personal life history, detailed on the “Suzanne’s Story” page of this website.

The one day Bars Training is happening Saturday May 28th from 10 Am till 5:30 Pm. The very reasonable cost is only $200. Do bring your lunch!

There is only space for 8 people to attend, so I would firmly suggest that if you are interested in attending that you call me, Suzanne at: 781-315-1719 and let me know that you would like to register for the training.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required by May 1st to hold your space with the balance due on the day of the training.
