How a tragic suicide and a former mentallly ill patient inspired the creation of Dawning Visions Hypnosis

Suzanne's childhood friend Spencer

Suzanne and childhood friend, Spencer.

This practice is dedicated to two very important people in my life.

The first is my childhood friend Spencer who, without the appropriate mental health care, committed suicide at the age of 39.

Spencer was a very loving and sincere man who loved animals and gardening. But more importantly, he was always willing to be there for his friends. This practice is dedicated to Spencer’s memory with the belief that anyone who touches Dawning Visions Hypnosis will be able get in touch with their greater purpose and find the joy that is possible in a life well lived.

This practice is also dedicated to a client of mine with whom I worked before I ever entered the field of hypnosis, Barbara G. When we met she was in and out of the mental hospitals on a very regular basis. By the time our work was complete, nine months later, she was living a normal life. Over the last decade she has only been hospitalized twice.

She has been married to a man who loves and accepts her for who she is. Since our work together she has been able to spend lots of her time helping out with her grandchildren. Barbara was the inspiration for this practice, teaching me that no one can determine what anyone else is capable of creating for oneself. Given the correct tools and encouraged to advocate for her self, Barbara has received a life that is much more fulfilling than the medical experts ever thought was possible.
